Dear friends,

For the good of the parish I want all parishioners to take ALPHA.

ALPHA is a simple program that helps parishioners get to know each other while growing in the Christian faith. More than this, however, ALPHA is an instrument for building unity within the parish.

All Saints Parish needs to grow and for this to take place our parishioners need to be on the same page and work together towards the same goal. The community needs a common foundation. I have selected ALPHA to be the common foundation for the entire community, an experience of faith and community that we all share.

Parishes often lack unity, because the individual members prefer to see the faith and the parish in their own way. This is an obstacle to parish growth. It is hard for people to work together on a common goal when they do not have a shared foundation.

ALPHA is not the highest experience of Christian faith but it does provide a basic introduction to the faith and to shared parish life and is a suitable foundation for parish growth at All Saints.

Please take ALPHA, so our parish is able to grow.
