Due to the current public health order restriction on gatherings, the CWL, unfortunately, cannot hold its yearly Senior’s Appreciation Luncheon. We will miss hosting this much-anticipated event that honours the great contributions our seniors have done and continue to do for our parish community. The CWL will provide a small token to our seniors as they leave the Anointing Service.

Prayer for Healing

There will be an opportunity for Healing after all Masses next weekend. Come and get prayed over if you are in need of any kind of healing, physically, mentally or emotionally. The Lord works miracles every day!

Knights of Columbus Bursary Program

We are privileged to offer fourteen bursaries of $1,000.00 each to Catholic students across the Province of British Columbia. These bursaries are made available on a one-time-only basis to young practicing Catholic students who are in post-secondary education at a recognized institute of higher learning within the Province of British Columbia. Applications are accepted from January 1, 2022, until June 30, 2022, with the bursaries being awarded in the fall. The Terms of Reference may be found on our website (kofcbc.org) after Jan 1, 2022.

Sto. Niño de Cebu Shrine at St. Anthony of Padua, Agassiz

Father Dennis Flores, Pastor of St. Anthony of Padua in Agassiz, in collaboration with the Filipino Ministry Office of the Archdiocese, has envisioned building a pilgrimage Shrine of Sto. Niño de Cebu as a gift to the Archdiocese of Vancouver in commemoration of the 500th Anniversary of Christianity in the Philippines.

The hope is that many pilgrims will be able to take advantage of this site and enliven their faith and strengthen their devotion to the Sto. Niño. The estimated cost of this project is $400,000, and all funds needed have to be in place before construction can commence. Fr. Dennis has a goal to have it built by August 2022, when the image of Sto. Niño will travel with representatives from Cebu, Philippines for enthronement at that time.

Donations can be made as follows:

Cheques: Payable to St. Anthony of Padua and mailed to 7237 Morrow Road, Agassiz, BC V0M 1A0
