RCIA

Are you or someone you know interested in learning about the Catholic Faith?

Do you have a family member or friend that might be seeking to become a member of the Catholic Church? RCIA is the place to start. RCIA stands for Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults.

The RCIA program begins with Alpha on October 1st, 9:30 am - 11 am

If you are curious about RCIA, call or email Lorraine Joseph, our head of adult faith formation!

Alpha

What is Alpha?

Alpha is an opportunity to explore life and the Christian faith in a friendly, open, and

informal environment.

Alpha is not so much a course but an experience! Gathering once a week over

breakfast, Alpha brings together people from every walk of life.

No matter where Alpha takes place, the format is the same. We eat together, we

listen to a talk, and then we gather in small groups for discussion. Over 29 million

people across the globe have done Alpha.

Who is Alpha For?

Alpha is for everyone and anyone. The beauty of Alpha is that there are no questions

that are too silly or too simple. Alpha has no prerequisites whatsoever. We come

together with one another as we are, free to be ourselves.

How can I take part?

ASPYM Fall Schedule

Pet Blessing

The School’s SPCA club is very excited to host our first ever “Blessing of the Pets.” You are invited to bring your pet to be blessed on the Feast Day of Saint Francis of Assisi. This is a community event, and everyone is welcome.

When: Tuesday, October 4 at 2 pm

Where: Outside on the school field (rain or shine)

Who: All are invited. The school community will be there.

Highlights and Notes:

  • Father Don will be blessing our pets.

  • Animals must be caged, harnessed, or leashed.

  • If your pet is nervous around other people/animals - you can always bring a picture of your pet so that Father can bless over them.

  • There will be a prayer card station where you can receive a complimentary St. Francis of Assisi card.

  • There will also be a complimentary prayer card for our animal friends that have passed away.

  • We will have a donation station with all proceeds going to the BC SPCA.

  • All animals will receive a certificate to celebrate their blessing.

  • There will be a photo station where we will take pictures of you and your pet. The school will create a link and have all of the photos on there.

Life Chain

We invite you to attend the Pro-Life Chain 2022, on Sunday October 2nd, from 2 pm to 3 pm.

We hold up signs and pray in silence for one hour in Como Lake Ave for the drivers to see our Pro-Life messages. We provide approved and respectful signs. Participating is an effective way to help restore a Culture of Life in Canada and the whole western world. We hope to see you at All Saints Parish on Sunday afternoon.

Project Advance 2022

The parish campaign is raising money to hire new employees, which are required because of the departure of Deacon Greg and Ivy Barcelon and the on-going growth of the parish.

The easiest way to donate is online.

Sacrament of Confirmation

The Grade Seven students from PREP and Queen of All Saints School have started their preparation to receive confirmation in the spring. They will participate in a Commitment Ceremony at Sunday mass on October 2.

St.Vincent de Paul

Join us for our meeting on September 28, at 7 pm downstairs in the Parish Centre.

Here’s what’s on the agenda for our meeting!

  • Future vacancies on executive & committees.

  • Sandwich preparation - should we start again.

  • Liaison with Parish Charity Outreach without Deacon Greg.

  • School food programs.

  • Social Justice advocacy.

  • Partnership with other parish groups.

  • Interest in helping your neighbour.

  • Homemade dessert served.

All are welcome. Bring your curiosity and desire to do good works.
