Dear friends,
What do we want All Saints Parish to look like in 20 years time? In developing a Campus Master Plan this is one of the questions to be considered by our planning committee.
A Campus Master Plan (CMP) is a comprehensive, long-term strategic document that outlines the vision, goals, and physical development of a parish’s campus as it relates to the mission of the Church.
Our planning committee will start work in the next couple of weeks discussing a variety of questions, including:
At the present time, what is All Saints Parish like and what do we want it to be like in the future? Do we wish to expand our interaction with the neighbourhood and surrounding community?
What are our current demographics (i.e. who attends mass here?) and will there be future growth in the area?
What is the present condition of our facilities? Are there any safety concerns? How do we use our facilities and how will they need to be adjusted to accommodate future needs? Does the site require more green space?
Who needs to be consulted in the planning process?
What are the immediate, medium-term and long-term development priorities?
If new construction is required what will be the timeline, the phasing and the funding requirements?
In the Church, planning for the future is important. All Saints Parish has gone through significant changes since it was founded in 1961 and the pace of change is simply increasing.
Ours is an effective parish and I want it to continue being so. This will require a significant adjustment in our pastoral ministry which in turn may well require changes to our facilities.
That is why I am committing most of our 2025 Project Advance earnings to funding a Campus Master Plan. Please pray for our committee as they begin work on this important study.
